About Me:
I work with a range of emotional and relationship issues including depression, anxiety, bereavement, loss, abuse, chronic pain, work stress, life transitions, isolation and low self-esteem. My year long certificate in Neurodiversity affirming practice has helped me to develop an understanding of the relationship between neurodiversity and mental health .
My practice increasingly welcomes individuals who are either seeking or have a diagnosis particularly of ADHD or ASD and I continue to widen my perspective surrounding the intrinsic effects of existing in an inhospitable environment. Working somatically as well as cognitively permits us to listen to experiences stored in your bodily sensations , allowing us to explore ways of understanding as well as regulating those symptoms and expressions.
November 2019 -training with the Foundation of Infant Loss which has provided me with a deeper understanding and professional capacity to work with clients who are seeking help in relation to sudden infant loss or stillbirth.
2022-2023 - Integrative embodied psychotherapy - somatic training to enhance awareness surrounding the language of the body and the instinctive communication which it provides in therapy.
2025 - Certificate in Neuro-affirmative practice - a model to effectively support clients with neuro-diversity.
As a member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy), I abide by their code of ethics.
