FAQ

  • What do our levels mean for counsellors and therapists?

Counsellors and therapists working with us are graded according to their experience and any additional training completed or specialisms on top of their core training.

All therapists at all levels, including students on placement, must be registered with a professional body, such as BACP, UKCP or NCS.

Student therapists on placement must be on a minimum degree level core training course and be in at least Year 2 of their training course.

Experienced therapists are qualified, which means they have completed and passed a core training course with minimum 100hrs of clinical experience and met the requirements for registration with a professional body.

Advanced therapists are qualified and will have at least 5 years post-qualifying experience and/or have completed additional post-qualifying training or accreditation to enhance their knowledge and practice. Advanced therapists may also be supervisors.

Senior/Specialist therapists are qualified and will have 10+ years post-qualifying experience including clinical leadership, supervision or training, and/or an additional specialism/accreditation in an advanced discipline such as EMDR, specialist trauma and PTSD therapies, working with adoption/fostering, or family therapy.

  • How do you set your fees?

Practitioners’ fees are set according to their experience and training. Our fees also include a contribution to our running costs. These include our systems and the support we offer to our team.

We acknowledge that fees with an agency such as Free2BMe might be higher than for an individual in private practice. There are additional benefits that come with our service, such as a system that offers session and payment reminders and easy, secure card payments.
