About me
I’m a neurodivergent counsellor and trainee psychologist, and my practice is neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ affirmative. I have worked therapeutically with neurodivergent adults in various settings, such as a carers’ centre and a GP practice, and working with neurodivergent people is my main interest. In addition, I have worked with autistic children, young people, adults, and their families in the community and the NHS for many years.
I work from an integrative approach, which means that I adapt techniques from multiple therapeutic approaches like cognitive behavioural therapy, humanistic therapy, transactional analysis, and sensorimotor psychotherapy in accordance with your needs and wishes. My psychology training has also equipped me to use techniques from additional therapies, such as acceptance and commitment therapy and compassion focused therapy. Being neurodivergent, I am aware of how frustrating and isolating it can be to access the right support, so I aim to offer you a warm, non-judgemental space where you are welcome to discuss how I can help to meet your needs.
Neurodivergence is embraced and validated in my practice, and I hope to meet your unique lived experience and perspective with empathy and compassion.
In my spare time, I enjoy dancing (Egyptian and 60s go-go dance are my favourites), exploring nature, learning languages, and listening to music.
